There are some cases in which sometimes SARC has to arrange a rescue operation for women survivors, some cases with the help of police and some with the help of volunteers and community members in case if police deny for assistance. SARC’s approach is always to begin with counseling the women and children and encouraging them to take legal action whenever there is a strong case. SARC help them resist being paid off by the perpetrators. Often girls have to stay at individual team member’s homes, as there is no shelter to take them too. SARC team members have often been harassed whey they are working on particular cases, especially if the perpetrator is well connected. They have had to go into hiding sometimes, faced attacks outside their homes, as well as false cases and accusations against them.

SARC provides on-going counseling, as many of the women and girls are severely traumatized. There was one girl who was unable to speak after being gang raped, so SARC arranged for her to go to a professional counselor for an hour every day. The team members are trained in counseling of women who have suffered violence. SARC also tries to arrange vocational training for the older girls through local NGOs. For women who are old enough to work, SACR tries to find job opportunities through their network. Many of the survivors are too young for training or jobs, so they are placed in school and volunteers also come to teach those who are staying at members home but sometime it is very difficult. Often in cases abduction, the girls can go back safely to their families. Volunteers keep in contact with all the women who came to SARC and the Administration.
